Green Beans and Prawn

Ingredients
1 cup sliced, shelled prawns
A pinch turmeric
3 cups green beans, cut
1 small onion
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons fish sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Methods
Rub shelled prawns with turmeric and boil in 1 cup water till water is absorbed. Cut in slices less than 1/4 inch thick.
String beans and cut in fine diagonal slices. Wash and put in water. Slice onion.
Heat oil till cooked. Fry onion, and when clear, add prawns with half of fish sauce. When water is absorbed and oil is clear, raise heat and add beans, letting some of the soaking water come with them.
Toss add sauces.till taste for salt is right, cover, and cook for 2 minutes only, if beans are tender.
Alternatives for this recipe: rutabaga, asparagus, bamboo shoots, snow peas, bean sprouts, turnip, kohlrabi.
